Meaning:
- Hasta means Hands & Pad means Legs.
In this asana hands and legs are brought
parallel to each other so it is called
Hasta Padasana.

Attaining
the asana position.

Shift your left leg towards left at a distance
of about 1 foot.

Raise both the hands from front side above your head
while inhaling.

Keeping the head in the same position and exhaling
bend forward in the waist slowly and try to touch
the fingers of the hands to the ground. Keep the knees
straight. Maintain the position for few seconds.
- Now
continue the breathing normally. Do not hold the breath.
Try to relax the muscles as much as you can.

Releasing
the Asana position.

Slowly straighten the waist while inhaling
and attain the position as no. 2, above.

Take both the hands down slowly exhaling
and attain the position as in 1.
