Testimonials of Yoga Teacher Training April 2009
I found that my two months at the ashram were life-changing. I was brought face-to-face with deep questions and issues and found myself amidst a supportive and safe environment, in order to look at them.
The TTC was stimulating on so many levels and I left the ashram with a deep sense of peace and self.
I am stronger in my resolve to live a full and open life. I have a stronger awareness of who I am and of my abilities.
I have a stronger commitment to Karma Yoga and am finding interesting and surprising ways to practice it.
Many times in my life, I have considered life to be ‘struggle’ without having a choice to change it. Thanks to; Mr Bam; to constant reminders to relax into a posture; all the shavasanas, I now know that I always have a choice as to how I respond to any situation. I also know now that I have the choice to change a response. This is a profound learning.

Although it took me 3 years to finally be able to come over for the TTC course, it's definitely worth all the determination and persistence because I know I will regret it for the rest of my life if I don't come. I am truly connected.
Already I am planning to join the Advance TTC course next year. However, I may have problem with my travelling schedule as I am working and pursuing my Master's degree at the moment. But I shall be in touch with you as soon as I get my timetable for next year. I am so looking forward to visit, even if I am unable to join for the course. Maybe as volunteer or intern.
My sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the staff at the ashram as well as the lecturers.
You guys are almost like one big family to me.
Take care and stay healthy n chirpy in the meantime.

I want to thank you for an experience that I always will remember as special. The biggest accomplishment is that my back problems from a slip disk injury is gone. As long as I continue with the practise that you guys thought me I can be as active as I was before my injury and that is just amazing! My mind is more calm and I can handle challenging situations in better ways. Even though it is not always easy to combine yoga with modern western life it has definitely become part of my everyday life!
Thank you and best regards to you all!

I don't know where to begin! it was the best time of my life in ashram!
it gives me lot of answer for my life question. Makes me realise that I have a value ,It makes me calm person, gives me a lot of self confidence ,I learn about love, doing things without expectation, Look things in positive way(very nice very nice), I could give a lot of love which I had it in my whole live in me and I could reaciv a lot of love as well, be not attached with a things ,of course yoga asnas and pranayama gives me a lot of mental and physical change ,I get the main target of my life "self realization
I could follow until now all what I learn from ashram except "live without being attached with anything" I am attached with ashram ,I would like to come back right now if it was possible I want to learn more, I want to be able to change other peoples life too. I LOVE ASCHRAM!ASCHRAM GIVES ME A NEW LIVE!

By doing the teacher training course at Yoga Vidya Dham has been a life changing experience for me.
I had practised yoga before joining the course but was not actually aware of the benefits.
I understood the real meaning of YOGA after coming here - how it helps the mind & body and spirit if you have discipline and faith in it.
The course is well structured and very challenging.
Asana class - prepares your body,it teaches you how you should hold the asana for a duration to achieve benefits. Breathe normally and above all be steady, slow controlled.
Karma Yoga - Working with your hands and not expecting anything in return.
Lectures - the lectures were so enriching, the information provided was like a treasure trove. There is so much to learn in Yoga not just asana and pranayama.
Meditation - All the different types of meditation techniques to relax the mind. Yognidra etc.,
The food was amazing very tasty and healthy. Good if your going to practise and preach yoga.
Mantras/Omkar - very relaxing and a must in YOGA.
Over all this course has give me the knowledge and tools to become a Yoga Teacher.
I will imbibe all these practises in my day to day life which will strengthen my belief and this will help me in teaching my students.
Having done this course I feel blessed , happy and satisfied.
I thank all the teachers and organisers for imparting this knowledge to me.

I had the experience of a lifetime during my training with Yoga Vidya Gurukul. The teaching staff demonstrated a vast knowledge of the yogic principals and made it possible to fully embrace the complete yogic lifestyle. The people I studied with were some of the most beautiful people I have ever met. The atmosphere at the ashram was warm and welcoming. The program was challenging but the staff helped to make us feel very relaxed and comfortable. I am very happy I chose to train at Yoga Vidya Gurukul and have already begun teaching Yoga in the States. I look forward to the day I return to India and continue my yoga education at Yoga Vidya Gurukul.

Few months back when I have decided to enrol for this course, I am looking forward, yet worrying. Looking forward to start and go through the course, worrying whether can adapt to the new environment and foods. Now, I have completed the course with no regret. I like the ashram, enjoyed the course and gained a lot in term of physically and mentally, and yes, I have made many friends at here. This was a great trip and nice experience. Very nice~very nice~ :)
