In
all 15 participants from various countries participated in the Teacher
Training Course from 1st October to 30th October 2004, all participants
successfully completed the course, 10 students securing first class
and 5 students got first class with distinction.
First
rank was shared between Ms. Helen Garner from South Africa and Lorraine
Saxena from UK, second rank was shared between three participants
Ms. Christina Sevaistre from France, Ms. Caroline Osborne from UK
and Ms. Kathryn Downie from US and the third rank was shared between
Ms. Addrianne Walker from Canada and Lyudmila Arabadzhieva from
UAE.
The
course was a success under the able guidance of Yogacharya Vishwas
Mandlik; his inspiration was always a motivating factor for all
the participants and teachers as well. Mr. Parikshit Mhaisapurakar
was very much appreciated as a Yoga Asana Teacher, Mr. Ashok Joshi
conducted advance course while also handling the managerial responsibilities,
and Mrs. Pallavi Joshi worked as co teacher and also taught the
Sanskrit language to the students, in a very simple but effective
way. Mr.Vivek Karvir was Coordinator for Examination. Mr. Yogesh
Shastri was Public Relations Officer.
Various
lectures were delivered, prominently by Yogacharya Vishwas Mandlik
on Yogic Concepts, Obesity, children, Yoga Nidra, Teacher training
lectures, applied yoga, Mrs. Pournima Mandlik on Indian Culture,
Dr.Prafulla Dorle on Anatomy and Physiology, Dr.Ashutosh Yardi on
Ayurveda, Dr.Vidya Deshpande on Diet Control, Mr.Parikshit Mhaisapurakar
on Yoga Science, Mr.Gandhar Mandlik on Various types of Yoga, Ashtanga
Yoga, Hatha Yoga et al. The new ashram proved to be an inspiring
place for the course, As this year monsoon was very heavy, all the
participants had to bear unpleasant weather for few days. But all
the participants showed the courage and determination.
