Meaning:
Tada means tall tree. The body position
in this asana is like tall tree and hence
it is called Tadasana.

Preposition:
Standing position.

Attaining
the asana position.

Spread
your left leg towards left side at a distance
of about one foot.
- Lift
both the hands in front and lock the fingers with
palms facing inside.

Raise both hands upwards above your head
and turn palms inwards.

Stretch the whole body and in upward direction
as much as you can and maintain this state
for few seconds. Continue your breathing
normally.

Try to relax the muscles as much as you
can.
- Releasing
the Asana position.

Release the stretch and come to normal state.

Bring the hands in the front as in the position
2 explained earlier.

Unlock the fingers and take the hands down
as in the position no 1.

Bring the left leg close to the right leg
and in the preposition i.e. standing position.
