Meaning:
Veera means 'the Warrior'.
In this asana the final position
looks like a warrior in an
attacking position. Hence
this asana is called the Veerasana
-
Preposition:
Standing position
-
Attaining
the asana position.
-
Take
the left leg forward as much as
you can.
- Turn
the toe of the right leg to the right to balance the
position.
-
Fold both the hands in Namaskar position, keep them
on the left knee and then bend in left knee so that
there is an angle of 90 degrees in the lower left
leg and thigh of the left leg.

Lift the hands in Namaskar position upwards without
bending above your head. Take your neck back.

Releasing
the Asana position.

Maintaining
the balance of the body, bring the hands
down and keep them on the left knee. Straighten
the neck.
- Straighten
the left knee and bring both the hands to the original
position.

Turn the right toe to the original position.
- Bring
the left leg to the normal position.
Repeat
the same procedure for right leg.
