June 2007 - Yoga Teacher Training Course

Testimonials

Overall opinions about the course - 6th June to 5th July 2007

I enjoyed the course 100%. I found some lectures interesting and some o.k. All the teachers were patient, kind and skilled. The course helped me to understand what yoga means in my life - it is a way if life which I now feel will help me as a person spiritually, physically and emotionally. I loved the pranayama - as I didn't understand this before. I feel I have the confidence now to continue my practice at home and in time to teach. I am delighted I came on this course. Than you for the opportunity to learn so many aspects of yoga. I have no hesitation in recommending this course. All information and support on the website is very helpful.

Gina Dermody (Ireland)

The course has improved my practice greatly, made me more flexible and strong, both physically and mentally.

Chris Adamson (England)

I'm happy I came to Gurukul to study yoga. It became a journey the moment I signed up for me. I feel a sense of accomplishment for completing the course. My time here at Gurukul has provided me with the skills, knowledge to bring yoga home with me and share it with others.

Kathryn Davis (USA)

The bonding of the students is the most impressive thing about the ashrams environment.

Natalie Laycok (USA)

This course provides an excellent opportunity for personal growth.

Donielle Lavintman (USA)

Provides a holistic perspective to traditional Indian Yoga. Come prepared with an open mind and do not approach yoga as a fashion.

Dilip Mehera (Mexico)

Beyond giving me the tools and knowledge I will need to teach yoga, the Ashram has given me a profound sense of happiness. The simplistic life and beautiful atmosphere is purifying and inspiring.

Jeff Buelterman (USA)

Coming to the Ashram to learn yoga must have been the best decision during a very distressed time of my life. As a Medical Doctor, I am very excited about futhering my studies in yoga therapy and strengthening my own practice.

Ulrike Döhne Breytenbach (South Africa)

Coming to India and specifically YVG has completely changed my understanding of and appreciation for Yoga and I know my practice has improved and grown tremendously. It's a challenging but ultimately extremely rewarding experience and I'm surely a better person for it.

Rebecca Raizman (USA)

A very enjoyable experience. I feel confident in going into the world and teaching yoga.

Jeff Craft (USA)

I feel like this course has prepared me very well to become a yoga teacher. As a bonus I also learned quite a bit about Indian culture and I have made great new friends. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Anna Gingras (USA)

This course was very good to discover more about my ownself and pushed me into some darker places of myself but thanks to everyone here and the practice; I could overcome thus and learn a lot about yoga and also about myself. Of course things are not perfect but with time and feedback of students this course will become better and better.
