I remembered
my first week in the ashram. I had so much of mixed feelings regarding
the tradition and teaching techniques but as time goes by, I learnt
to embrace it and now I'm proud to say I am glad I took up the
YTTC in Yoga Vidya Gurukul. I was fortunate to have met some nice
yogis and yoginis in the Ashram and the volunteer yoga teachers
are patience and helpful. Quite often, I discovered that certain
poses brought emotional discomfort, while others sparked powerful
emotional releases. With the help of the yoga teachers, I was
able to transform my anxiety and fear into gratitude, empowerment,
calmness and excitement. Even though I have been practising yoga
for more than 3-1/2 years now, my yoga journey has just begun.

The ashram
was the most peaceful place I've ever visited, full of beautiful
positive energy from people working there and the wonderful nature
surrounding the place. Everything I learned, everybody I met bloomed
bunch of happiness in my heart. Also, the course was a "spiritual
journey" to discover who I am and how to share that with
other people. Teaching yoga is not easy, but I learned most importantly
that it is really a vocation of the heart, bringing love &
compassion into people's life. I'm super-most happy that I shared
the precious experience with other people and found peace within
me and in the world.
Thank you!

An amazing
yet challenging complete yoga experience! Professional training/education,
caring and supportive staff and a great insight to the Indian
culture. I left the Ashram with some amazing lifelong friends,
a balanced spirit and a love for India!

My experience with the ashram truly began when I arrived home
and I realized what an impact on my life it really had. Not only
do I eat better, sleep better and find time for the things I love,
but my yoga practice has expanded drastically and I'm able to
better motivate those around me to adopt a yogic lifestyle.

So many thoughts, experiences, lessons, images and feelings come
to mind when I think back on my stay at the ashram. I think I
have only just started the processing of my month in India. But
what first comes to mind is how a feeling of calmness, inner peace,
contentment - has taken place in both my mind and my body - and
most of all - how this feeling still is here, even though I left
the ashram weeks ago. The experience at the ashram was intense,
at times exhausting - but still, it was a good kind of exhaustion,
because my mind and my body was working together, instead of going
in "opposite directions". My goal is to keep that feeling
of peace and contentment that has taken place in me, and try and
teach it to others.

Attending
the Yoga Vidya Gurukul Teacher's Training Course was by far my
best choice of things to do in India. I received so much more
than excellent Yoga training. Not only did I meet the most amazing
loving and dedicated Yoga teachers, Instructors and guest spokesmen,
but I also met a wonderful group of friends from literally all
parts of the world. Yoga Vidya totally promotes the exchange of
cultures and offers in their unique way an in-depth submersion
into the Indian culture and spiritualism. My heart goes out to
the Yoga Vidya Staff for their true hospitality and dedication
to teachings of the traditional Indian Yoga as a life style.Looking
forward to do the Advance Yoga Program with you…
