Who should Apply?

The course is for Experienced Yoga Teachers or senior Yoga practitioners (2 years or more experience) who want to learn and use Yoga Techniques from Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy for treatment of various diseases, This course covers Yoga asanas (Positions / postures), Pranayama, Cleansing techniques (Shatkarmas from Hatha Yoga), Nature Cure techniques (Massage, Mud therapy etc.) Curative Meditation, Relaxation, Yoga Nidra, Omkar, Ayurveda Techniques (Vata, Kapha, Pitta Type of personalities, easy home treatments, Shirodhara technique & herbals.)

The guidance is given for diseases like Back problems (Scitica, slip disc, spondilytis et al), Heart Diseases, Diabetes, Arthritis, Hyper tension, Anxiety & Depression, High & Low Blood Pressure, Asthma, common cold, Obesity, Digestive Disorders, Thyroid problems, Gynacological disorders etc..

Yoga education is a subject of research and required years of experience, Yoga Vidya Dham has been operational since last 28 years in various parts of India and abroad. Venue Of Course:- Vishwa Yoga Darshan - Vishwa Yoga Darshan is a perfect place for yoga and meditation. It is situated in the mountain range of Sahyadri, the ashram is surrounded by fascinating landscapes and natural beauties. It is an ideal location away from city and stressful modern life.

The new ashram is becoming more popular as it offers stress free Yoga Life style in natural environment.

This place is in the vicinity of Lord Trimbakeshwara, one of the 12 most important and auspicious Shiva Temples in India. Lord Shiva is the origin of Yoga Tradition; this makes the location of the ashram more significant. Millions of devotees visit the Shiva temple annually. Surrounding mountains are considered as the heaven for Yogis, next to Himalayas, to perform Yoga & Mediation practices.

Facilities -
Yoga, Meditation facilities, Ayurveda, Herbal treatment, Massage, Nature therapies are made available in the ashram at cost. Medical Facilities including emergency services are also provided.

Lodging-
Ashram provides lodging facilities to students. A student is provided with an independent compartment in a house. Every house has 4 compartments, the house is self contained having attached toilet block. Independent wardrobe with a locker is provided to every student. A bed, mattress, blankets, sheets and pillow are also provided.
A laundry service is available in the ashram at cost.

Note - We provide Yoga Mats to the students to use during the course at NO extra charge.

Boarding-
Dining room provides pure vegetarian food in accordance with the yoga life style; the food is non spicy, rich in raw vegetables. Daily diet consists of various fruits (including seasonal fruits). Herbal drinks are provided instead of tea and coffee.
The food is supplied is strictly organic and non-processed. A precaution is taken to maintain nutritional value of the diet.
For every individual the diet is recommended considering ones requirements.

Note - A complete silence is maintained in the dining room during the meals and breakfast.

    Note - You are kindly requested to wear T-shirts / shirts (covering shoulders) and long pants(below knees).

During the time allotted for Self Study in the afternoon, the students are provided with different books on Yoga. Under the guidance of Yoga Experts this time for Self Study is utilized at its best. The students can get their queries solved during the Open Discussion period every night. They are also free to share their views and thoughts during this session.

Rules for Participants -

Please note that you are entering an Yoga Ashram, which is a new experience, the rules should be followed so as to get the maximum benefit of this Environment and make your experience enjoyable.

1. After the admission, participants cannot leave the campus. In case of emergency, written permission from the Course Coordinator is required.
2.
No friends, relatives are allowed to stay with participants without any prior permission.
3. Visitors are not allowed in the campus except for visiting hours.
4. Children below age of 10 years can stay with their parents, but a prior permission is necessary.
5. For getting the best results from practice of yoga, the course schedule, diet et al have been changed; the participants are requested to adjust to this environment as quickly as possible.
6. Participants must follow the timetable.
7. Participants must attend all sessions, Lectures and all other activities.
8. Please don't bring valuables, if you want Yoga Vidya Dham can keep them safely for you during the course.
9. If you are physically unwell, you are requested to contact the Resident Medical Officer immediately.
10. You can bring your medicines and continue personal treatment, but it is advisable to inform about your ailment & treatment to the medical officer or your class teacher.
11. In case of major health problems initial treatment will be provided by the medical officer, any further treatment required during the course will have to be managed from external medical experts on your own.
12. You can get the information about India, various tourist destinations like goa, kerala, Andaman & nicobar islands etc. in Yoga Vidya Dham, also you can get the help for train reservations, flight reservations and accommodations etc. Please remember this is for the convenience of course participant's only.
13. Necessary food arrangements are made in the institute and no external food is allowed. (The food in the institute is strictly vegetarian.)
14. Alcohol, tobacco or other drugs / steriods are strictly not allowed in the Ashram.

Course Coordinator reserves the right to enforce other necessary rules apart from all the above rules.
Style of Yoga & Tradition of our School / Guru

Tradition of our School / Guru - Our School is joined to the great tradition of Swami Satyananda Saraswati of Bihar School of Yoga.

Paramhansa Swami Niranjananda Saraswati initiated our Guru Rushi Dharma Jyoti (Yogacharya Vishwas Mandlik) in to Rushi Sannayasa and joined Yoga Vidya Dham on 7th March 2006 to the spiritual tradition of Sage Adi Shankaracharya, Swami Sivananda and Swami Satyananda.

(Please note that Certification and Training is given as per the syllabus designed by Yoga Vidya Gurukul, it is not a part or affiliated to Bihar Yoga / Bihar Yoga Bharati.)

Before applying please read following articles on Asana and style of yoga we teach. We teach as per the Indian Style of Yoga, as per the classical books of Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Ashtanga Yoga based on Patanjali Yoga Sutras.

The course is for begineers who want to learn and teach in a way which is as per the Hatha & Ashtanga yoga traditions. This course covers Yoga from basic to advanced techniques from classical texts of Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga. ("Hatha Pradipika" & "Patanjal Yoga Sutra".)
